Pittsboro-Chapel Hill Bus Route Launches in August
After 12 years of inching its bus service southward, on Aug. 17 Chapel Hill Transit will launch its commuter route between Pittsboro and Chapel Hill, potentially alleviating congestion on one of the Triangle's busiest thoroughfares. Read full story from Independent Weekly

Durham Performing Arts Center
This coming week, two concerts will be happening at the DPAC. On Friday, July 31, Tori Amos brings her smooth ballads and melodies to the Center and on Wednesday, August 5, the soulful sounds of Maxwell will fill the DPAC. Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University
The Nasher Museum of Art is gearing up for a major showcase beginning August 20. Picasso and the Allure of Language exhibit will be at the Nasher from August 20, 2009- January 3, 2010. More information can be obtained online at the Nasher Museum website.

Playmakers Repertory Company

Durham Bulls
The International League South leading Durham Bulls begin a home stand against the Indianapolis Indians Monday, August 2-4, 2009. After that the Syracuse Chiefs are up to bat at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP) for a 4 game stand August 6-9.
